What's New: 7 Months

If your baby is upset after you leave her room, check on her briefly.  Reassure her that it is night time, then leave.  Check on her every 5-15 minutes until she is calm and falling asleep.  Keep your visits brief and boring.

As your baby adds solid foods to her diet, you may wonder how much food or breastmilk/formula to feed your baby.  Breastmilk and formula are still the most important sources of nutrition for your baby.  She should drink 24-32 ounces daily.  Try feeding your baby solid foods at the beginning of her meal time and ending with milk/formula so she is hungry enough to try new foods.

Supporting your baby's motor and social development will help her become more comfortable with herself, other people, and the world around her.
